Integrative Hypnotherapist & Emotional Coach

ABOUT GUIDO

I’m Guido,

I accompany people carrying heavy baggage — the kind that doesn’t show up as a single bad memory, but as a lifetime of patterns you can’t quite explain. I’ve navigated that maze myself, to heal: the confusing, often contradictory world of therapies, trauma-focused coaching, and healing approaches, trying to find what actually works.

I use a combination of the most effective tools I’ve encountered in my personal journey to support your healing and inner transformation processes — drawing on hypnotherapy, parts work, and somatic approaches  — integrated into one coherent process.

But technique alone isn’t what does the work. What you’re actually paying for is the presence. Healing requires real safety — a genuine, empathetic, attuned connection, not just a method applied correctly. That relational foundation, on top of any approach, process and technique, is what allows deep change to happen.

My understanding of trauma is grounded heavily in Pete Walker’s work — particularly the on the 4 Fs (fight flight, freeze, fawn) and how Toxic Shame gets internalised through what he calls the “mirroring” process: the way we come to see ourselves through the eyes of those who failed to see us clearly.

I also work from a felt sense of connection to something larger than the purely material — not religion, not dogma, just a working faith in the underlying order and goodness of the Universe, compatible with to Andrew Parr’s approach. This site’s name, The Tao of Economics, is inspired by Taoist philosophy, and nods to The Tao of Physics (Fritjof Capra, 1975) — a book that traces the deep parallels between quantum physics and Eastern spiritual thought.

MAIN TECHNIQUES

  • HYPNOTHERAPY: because we need to address the subconscious. Hypnotherapy allows to focus on the subconscious mind, rather than merely the cognitive parts of our consciousness.
  • IFS (Parts Work) : the idea that our subconscious splits into multiple PARTS under prolonged trauma, and mapping and addressing each of them with love and compassion is a direct access to healing.
  • SOMATIC THERAPY: Treats the body as the primary starting point for healing rather than just focusing on the mind. Because trauma is absolutely stored in the BODY and the Nervous System.

My STORY

I was born in Milano and moved to Geneva at sixteen. After studying at the London School of Economics, I spent over a decade working as an Economic Advisor in government and international policy consultancy—a career built entirely on logic, analysis, and outward success.

Underneath it, though, I was carrying something heavy. For a long time, I wore it like a hero’s quest. Looking back, part of it was genuine self-love and a longing for depth, but part of it was protection—needing the story to be bigger than life, an epic journey where the tough guy gets chosen by the master to overcome the odds. Learning to gently untangle real wisdom from protective illusions has been its own journey.

Long before I had the language for it, I already felt the quiet toll that early family strain, emotional neglect, and attachment patterns were taking on my life, even as an adult.

Navigating that has been the real work of my life. I’ve spent years trying almost everything to find a way through—from traditional psychoanalysis (which left me cold) to EFT, EMDR, hypnotherapy, family constellations, breathwork, somatic work, and even ceremonial plant medicine in the Amazon. I needed to find out what actually worked. And because I walked every single one of those dead ends myself, I can help you skip them. I now know what truly moves the needle when it comes to shifting deep-seated emotional blocks.

I do this work because I care deeply about two things: helping to shed light on complex emotional patterns so we can understand them without shame, and walking directly alongside those who are ready to meet themselves with kindness.

Outside of this work, my life is shaped by movement, nature, and curiosity. At twenty-one, I lived in China for nine months practicing Qi Gong and kung fu — which is where I first encountered Taoist philosophy (the idea that life has a natural flow, and our only job is to align with it). Over the years, I’ve also chased experiences that gently pushed me out of my comfort zone: bungee jumping in Zimbabwe, exploring cenotes in the Yucatán, and tracking orangutans in Borneo.
